adidas Originals Catalogues

As an in-house graphic designer at adidas, I managed and designed the Originals and Performance catalogues for Canada. Working alongside the product and category managers, we tailored these catalogues for the Canadian market by adding premium finishes to elevate the look and feel for fashion specialty buyers.

adidas Originals Select/Blue SS15

For the Select & Blue Spring/Summer 2015 collections, I designed a z-fold reversible catalogue. In this printing format, each collection has a unique front cover and back branded spread in the middle of the z-fold, including a spot UV treatment on the logos and verbiage for each cover and middle interior spread. The result was a 2-in-1 saddle stitched catalogue that was simple to follow while making a powerful creative impact.

adidas Originals Blue FW14

The adidas Originals Blue Collection for Fall/Winter 2014 was dark and bold. I created the catalogue covers by utilizing one of the product patterns on the front and back covers. We printed the zebra graphic using a spot UV finish to create a subtle but contrasting shine, a visual effect most appreciated in natural light. Dark, moody images were used as divider pages to show the texture and feel of the collection.

adidas Originals Select/Blue SS14

adidas Originals Select and Blue collections are elevated products for trend-driven accounts. These collections were merged into a single catalogue as they were primarily shown to the same buyers and stores. The logo and tagline on the cover use spot UV varnish which gives off a shiny glare and rubber feel. The catalogue design is simple and minimal, utilizing colourful dividers and large product images to display the collections and material details. We chose thick uncoated cover stock with a saddle stitch binding for a quality look and feel.
